This species differs from A. angthongensis by its shouldered whorls (not rounded as in the latter) and more enlarged last whorl. For differences from further similar species, see under A. crassus sp. nov., A. huaykhakang, A. informis, and A. utaithaniensis. Distribution. This species is known only from the type locality. Remarks. This species was also considered a member of Hypselostoma (Panha and Burch 2008) but given the fact that the shell shape and microsculpture resembles some Anauchen species (A. huaykhakang, A. utaithaniensis), we assign this species to the latter.
