REVIEW OF MODERN APPROACHES TO MODELING TRANSIENT PROCESSES IN SALIENT-POLE SYNCHRONOUS MACHINES TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE SATURATION OF THE MAGNETIC CIRCUIT
Traditional modeling techniques for synchronous machines often assume linear magnetic properties or include saturation in an oversimplified manner. These assumptions may result in inaccurate predictions of machine behavior, especially during transient events such as start-up, braking, or fault conditions. In modern electrical machines, increasing power density has led to higher levels of magnetic saturation, making it critical to develop models that accurately reflect nonlinear magnetic effects.
