Part 8: A Unified Theory of Consciousness, Sleep, and Evolution via Entropy-Induced Collapse and Higher-Dimensional Information Fields
In Part 8 of the Entropy-Induced Collapse (EIC) series, we propose a unified theoretical framework that integrates consciousness, sleep regulation, and evolutionary biology through entropy-driven activation of a higher-dimensional information field (Φ-field). Our extended EIC model posits that local entropy gradients trigger localized condensations of the Φ-field, producing conscious experiences via quantum-state collapse. Sleep functions universally as an entropy-reset mechanism, demonstrated quantitatively by recent experimental studies in primitive organisms such as Hydra vulgaris. At evolutionary scales, global environmental entropy fluctuations activate the Φ-field, accelerating genetic adaptation and explaining rapid evolutionary phenomena such as punctuated equilibria. This interdisciplinary paper includes rigorous mathematical models, detailed experimental predictions, and comparative analyses with established theories, bridging neuroscience, biology, quantum physics, and cosmology.
