THE DEVELOPMENT OF SELF-ESTIMATION IN ADOLESCENTS
This article is dedicated to studying the manifestations, levels, and factors influencing self-esteem in adolescents. Self-esteem is an individual’s perception of themselves, their capabilities, abilities, and relationships with others. Three levels of self-esteem are distinguished in adolescents: adequate, high, and low. While adequate self-esteem helps adolescents to accurately assess their strengths, high self-esteem can lead to excessive expectations, and low self-esteem can lead to depression.
