Impact of Electronic – Mode – of - Supervision on Teachers' Job Performance and Educational Development among Public Primary Schools In Obingwa, Abia State, Nigeria

ABSTRACT The paper seeks to assess the impact of electronic-mode-of supervision on teachers’ job performance and educational development among primary public schools in Obingwa, Abia State Nigeria. Three research questions guided the study. 44 school heads were randomly selected from the 71 primary schools in Obingwa L.G.A. Researcher-made fourteen item structured questionnaire was developed and used to collect data for the study. The reliability coefficient yielded an “r” value of 0.92 level of significance after a test re-test method was adopted on some school heads outside the L.G.A used for the study. Simple percentage was adopted for data analyses. The result revealed that there is a positive impact of e-supervision on teacher job performance, educational development of primary schools, and further revealed some challenges in the implementation of e-supervision in primary schools in Obingwa L.G.A of Abia State. The paper therefore recommended that teachers and other school staff should be educated on the use of e-supervision and the need for compliance. Keywords: Impact, Electronic–mode–of-Supervision, Job Performance, Educational Development
