REGENERATIVE POTENTIAL OF STEM CELL-BASED TISSUE ENGINEERING APPROACHES IN PULP REVASCULARIZATION OF NECROTIC IMMATURE PERMANENT TEETH: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND META-ANALYSIS OF CLINICAL OUTCOMES
Pulp revascularization has emerged as a promising treatment for necrotic immature permanent teeth, leveraging stem cell-based tissue engineering to regenerate pulp-like tissue. This systematic review and meta-analysis assess the clinical outcomes of these approaches by evaluating survival rates, root development, and functional recovery. Literature was systematically, with a meta-analysis of success rates across different studies. The findings indicate that stem cell-based approaches significantly improve root length and dentin wall thickness while reducing periapical radiolucency, demonstrating superior efficacy compared to conventional therapies. Challenges such as variability in stem cell sources, ethical considerations, and long-term stability require further research.
