La experiencia del programa de mentoría entre pares Biblionetwork para el desarrollo profesional bibliotecario

This study explores the potential of professional networks to foster knowledge expansion in the field of library science through mutual and collaborative learning. The proposal centered on organizing remote conversation rounds, where participants were paired based on their professional affinities. This dynamic allowed librarians to establish connections beyond their immediate contexts, breaking down geographical barriers and opening pathways to new realities and opportunities. A key advantage of this peer mentoring approach was the ability to engage in the process without the time and financial costs typically associated with travel. The only requirements for participation were access to an internet connection and a willingness to approach the process with an open and receptive mindset. The findings aim to highlight the strengths of peer mentoring as a tool for professional development in librarianship, offering insights for designing future mentoring programs in the library science field.
