Finite element analysis of tow designs investigating the differences between a single piece and two pieces models
This study is analyzing the difference between 2 different implant systems. State of art in mechanical engineering analysis is the FEA (finite element analysis). In mechanical engineering, it is used before almost all other engineering applications. It could be applied as well to evaluate other situations such as that of the medical implants. It is not peculiar to the implant system, but rather to give a deep insight into what is the results of interaction of the biodevices with the biological systems. Modern orthopedics spot the light on different effects of the biomaterials on the biosystems. Significant clinical results variation between the two types of systems were analyzed and demonstrated. Two pieces of implant model is poor in function, both in the distribution of stresses due to results of the loading lead to a certain type of stress shielding and also to the corrosion between the components of this type of implant. Further development of the single piece implant with more awareness about the hidden shortcomings of the 2 pieces systems must be held in mind when picking out between different systems
