THE ACTIVITIES OF THE KHARKOV DISTRICT INSURANCE ASSOCIATION IN 1914–1918

<p>With the outbreak of the First World War, the strategic role of industry in the South of Russia has increased, and personnel policy towards workers has become an integral part and an important factor in the development of the region's economy. In 1914, the Kharkov District Insurance Partnership was established on the territory of the Kharkov Insurance District. The article uses published materials from Congresses of Mining Industrialists in the South of Russia, the Charter of the Kharkov District Partnership, the financial report of this company for 1915–1916, and unpublished materials from the DPR State Archive.</p>
