TYPOLOGY OF PREPOSITIONAL CONSTRUCTIONS WITH COMPONENTS ZU//ԱՌ (ARR) IN GERMAN AND OLD ARMENIAN
The article discusses the issues of semantic and functional features of the prepositions zu in German and առ in the Ancient Armenian languages. In German, the preposition zu requires a direct infinitive, and in Ancient Armenian the preposition առ is used with both a direct and an indirect infinitive. In both languages, the prepositions zu//առ appear in doublet constructions, forming structural types: um+zu, ohne+zu, anstatt+zu in German and առ+ի in ancient Armenian.
