Exploring Human-Computer Interaction in Virtual Reality: Immersive Experiences, Challenges, and Future Directions
Human-Computer Interaction is an extremely crucial field of study concerning the relationship of users with computer systems; Virtual Reality brings a revolutionary dimension to this interaction. The current paper attempts to delve into crucial aspects of HCI in the realm of VR, related to respect toward highly immersive interaction, natural user interfaces, and multimodal experiences that can improve the degree of engagement and satisfaction for users. It also deals with the challenges of VR, such as motion sickness, usability issues, and technical limitations that need to be conquered if VR is ever to fulfill all its promises. This will further be enhanced with advanced haptics, artificial intelligence, and social VR platforms, which are going to revolutionize user experience in virtual environments very soon. Finally, the paper ends with some very promising future directions for HCI in VR and emphasizes that further research and technological advances are essential to keeping this field so dynamic.
