DIAGNOSTIC AND TREATMENT ISSUES FUNNEL-SHAPED CHEST DEFORMITY IN CHILDREN
210 children with funnel-shaped chest deformity (FSCD) who were under observation in the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute Clinic from 2014 to 2025 were examined. Among them, 141 (67%)- boys and 69 (33%)- girls. II degree of severity was detected in 149 (70.9%) patients and III degree in 61 (29%). The frequency of complaints and the spectrum of clinical manifestations depend on the severity of the deformity. As the children grow older and the duration of the disease increases, the manifestations of chronic tissue hypoxia increase, which reduces the compensatory capabilities of the organism and contributes to the frequency of various inflammatory processes, including those of the heart. Reconstructive thoracoplasty should be performed as early as possible, taking into account the preservation of compensatory capabilities of the organism at the stages of functional disorders of the lungs and heart, which, of course, will lead to a more effective recovery of the existing disorders.
