Cosmic Ancestry: DNA as a Bridge Between Earth and the Cosmos
This thesis investigates the hypothesis of cosmic ancestry, which posits that life on Earth may have originated in space, arriving through cometary or meteoritic material. It explores how DNA could serve as a repository for both terrestrial and extraterrestrial genetic information, potentially influenced by quantum mechanics. Drawing from panspermia, astrobiology, and quantum biology, this work aims to provide evidence for the theory that life is a universal phenomenon, influenced by quantum processes that allow for the transmission and evolution of genetic material across cosmic distances. By examining the role of quantum entanglement and coherence in DNA, we propose a new understanding of life’s origins and evolution as driven by cosmic and quantum factors.
