Tratamiento combinado con láser co2, plasma rico en plaquetas y silla electromagnética en prolapso genital grado II, reporte de un caso
Genital prolapse is the descent of the pelvic floor organs through the vaginal wall, which can occur in the anterior wall, apex, vaginal vault and rectum. Risk factors include vaginal childbirth, advanced age and obesity. At present, regenerative gynecology with the use of minimally invasive techniques and/or therapies aims to improve the quality of life and sexual activity of patients. This clinical case study evaluated the combined treatment with fractional CO2 laser, platelet-rich plasma and electromagnetic chair in a 62-year-old menopausal female patient, with second-degree genital prolapse. On gynecological examination, protrusion of the anterior vaginal wall through the vaginal introitus was observed, with no urine leakage upon Valsalva maneuver. Colposcopy was reported without atypia and cervical cytology revealed scarce bacterial flora. The procedure was explained and with prior informed consent, the patient underwent and completed a treatment plan every four weeks for a total of thirty chair sessions. After four weeks (second treatment session) the patient showed improvement, decrease in prolapse protrusion, and recovery of vaginal introitus closure; six weeks later (third session), there was evidence of vaginal restoration, remission of urinary incontinence and vaginal dryness. It was concluded that the treatment is effective, reducing the size of the vaginal prolapse. It is a non-invasive, painless procedure that generates collagen in the connective tissue that supports the pelvic floor, improving vaginal tone and elasticity.
