TEACHING PRAGMATIC MARKERS AND DISCOURSE FUNCTIONS TO MIDDLE SCHOOL LEARNERS

This article closely examines the pragmatic functions of discourse markers. They’re not only used to signal structure and context, and create coherence but also assist with expressing attitude or managing experience in a classroom. As there are very few articles that EFL teachers have done in Uzbekistan, this article will highlight the main practical features of discourse markers and how they are used. The findings of the study present the implications and utilization of discourse markers for middle school students in the classroom context.
