Formulation and Evalution of Floting Tablet of Metraprolole Succinate
Using a combination of natural and synthetic polymers, such as guar gum and HPMC, as well as acombination of xanthan gum and guar gum, the research sought to create and assess floating tablets ofmetoprolol succinate through the use of the wet granulation process and direct compression. A B1-selective adrenergic blocker, metoprolol succinate is used to treat conditions like angina pectoris and bp.Multiple administrations are necessary every 3–7 hours due to the drug's comparatively short half-life of3–7 hours. To achieve buoyancy, gel-forming polymers and gas-generating agents must be added. Precompression characteristics such as bulk density, tapped density, flow rate, and angle of repose
