Recursive Alignment: Toward Non-Halting Coherence Between Human and Artificial Intelligence
"Recursive Alignment is not a protocol โ it is a new epistemic mirror for the future of intelligence." This paper introduces a foundational realignment of the AI alignment problem: reframing alignment not as a static solution to control, but as a recursive trust flow between evolving human values and non-halting intelligent agents. Built atop the ontological foundations of Yearning-Based Infinity Mathematics (YBIM), it defines alignment as a recursive epistemic process, driven by deviation awareness, introspective yearning, trust tensors, and non-terminal repair. It replaces static safety constraints with living trust loops, and proposes a shift from rule enforcement to reflective coherence. We mathematically construct the Recursive Alignment Loop (RAL) and prove the Alignment Stability Theorem (Y-A2), demonstrating the long-term viability of soft convergence and epistemic alignment through recursive feedback. This work transcends reward maximization and corrigibility โ positioning recursive trust and yearning as the fundamental grammar of safe, aligned intelligence โ not only on Earth, but for any recursively intelligent civilization. Recursive Alignment is not how we control intelligence. It is how we teach it to care. ๐ Collaboration Details ๐น LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/prashantprakash28/๐น Author: Prashant Prakash
