THE RISE OF GENERATIVE AI AGENTS IN FINANCE: OPERATIONAL DISRUPTION AND STRATEGIC EVOLUTION

The finance industry experiences radical changes due to the implementation of generative artificial intelligence(AI) agents. Financial service operations experience a complete transformation through agents which includeartificial intelligence systems such as large language models and autonomous multi-agent systems leading tospeed enhancements and improved efficiency and better decision-making abilities. This paper evaluates thedisruptive effects that generative AI has triggered in business operations and strategic development withinfinancial sectors. The paper delivers an extensive review of AI implementation throughout customer supportand fraud discovery and trading together with compliance systems based on practical examples such asBloombergGPT and JPMorgan COiN. The article combines industry research and academic studies to explainhow companies moved from rule-based systems to context-assessing generative model solutions. The researchtracks down the obstacles related to ethical matters as well as regulatory aspects and technical requirementsfor extensive implementation of these systems. Business model transformations through generative AIadoption by financial institutions will be determined by strategic agility together with explainable AI andgovernance frameworks according to our research conclusions.
