MORPHOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL ASSESSMENT OF LIVER FUNCTION IN ISCHEMIC STROKE AND ITS CORRECTIVE PATHWAYS
Ischemic stroke (IS), a significant cause of mortality and long-term disability, has profound systemic effects that extend beyond the central nervous system, notably impacting liver function. This article explores the morphological and biochemical changes in the liver following an ischemic stroke, highlighting the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms and discussing potential therapeutic interventions to mitigate hepatic dysfunction. The study emphasizes the importance of understanding liver-brain interactions in stroke management and proposes strategies for correction and prevention of liver-related complications post-stroke.
