LEXICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF BORROWED WORDS FROM ONE LANGUAGE TO ANOTHER IN THE PROCESS OF LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT
This article examines the lexical characteristics of borrowed words in the process of language development. Borrowed words, or loanwords, are integral components of a language, especially when it comes to vocabulary expansion. The interaction between languages through contact leads to the integration of foreign words into the lexicon of a host language, often resulting in modifications and adaptations. The study of these borrowed words provides insight into both the structural aspects of the borrowing language and the social and cultural dynamics that facilitate linguistic exchange. This paper analyzes various lexical characteristics of borrowed words, including phonological, morphological, syntactic, and semantic adaptations, as well as their influence on the development of the host language.
