Invivo Antidiabetic activity of Pleurospermum candollei in STZ induced Mice

Diabetes is a serious global health problem that affects millions of people worldwide. It is a chronic metabolic illness characterized by high blood sugar levels, which can lead to dangerous side effects that impact several organs and systems. Finding efficient diabetes therapies is vital, and researching the antidiabetic properties of plants is extremely important in this context. This study uses a number of metrics, such as acute toxicity, body weight changes, blood glucose levels, insulin production, and pancreatic histology, to examine the therapeutic potential of Pleurospermum candollei extract on diabetes treatment. The extract's safety was validated by the acute toxicity test, which revealed no mortality at levels up to 2000 mg/kg.The results demonstrated a dose-dependent antihyperglycemic effect of the Pleurospermum candollei extract.
