Findings on TRUST Principles Adoption
Meeting Objectives: This session will give a chance for the TRUST Principles Outreach and Adoption WG and general RDA plenary population to review the recommendations that we aim to provide to the RDA Council for consideration. This session will be used to continue outreach to members and external organizations to gain support on the recommendations and outputs prepared by this Working Group. Additionally, the maintenance plan and contacts of adopters of the outputs will be shared and presented upon. After this session, the WG will be able to submit the WG’s recommendation. Group Activities: This working group aims to clarify the complementary relationship between TRUST Principles (TRUST) for digital repositories, certification processes, and metrics of other principle frameworks (e.g. FAIR, CARE, Desirable Characteristics, Data Repository Attributes). TRUST is not a criterion for certification. Instead, it is the principles of how repositories can demonstrate their trustworthiness to users. Actions include:– A survey to determine what hesitancy exists in using the TRUST Principles– Analysis of collected use cases to determine hesitancy– Mapping of TRUST to the various data repository certifications– Creation of guidelines on how to implement TRUST Principles– The creation and launch of TRUST wiki
