ON THE BENEFITS OF USING ONLINE-WHITEBOARDS WHEN TEACHING CADETS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

An academic discipline “Foreign language” has its own specifics, which is expressed in developing the ability for the foreign language communication with the involvement of linguistic and sociocultural knowledge. Due to the active implementation of information and communications technology there is a need to update tools used to stimulate cadets’ cognitive activity when learning professionally oriented English language.The present article justifies the feasibility of using online-whiteboard services, reveals the possibility of their use in offline mode and describes the didactic potential of interactive materials for language education in a military university. The author gives a few examples of educational-methodical worksheets created with the help of online-whiteboard for professionally oriented topic “Radio engineering” studied by secondary-year cadets in Yaroslavl Higher Military Institution of the Air Defense.
