A REVIEW ON MANAGEMET AND DIAGNOSIS OF ALCOHOLIC LIVER DISEASE
Drinking is a major cause of liver disease and is linked to high rates of morbidity and death. Alcohol use, both in terms of quantity and duration, has an impact on the onset and course of alcoholic liver disease (ALD). ALD encompasses a range of liver pathologies, including cirrhosis, fibrosis, and fatty changes. In order to promote alcohol abstinence, slow the advancement of liver fibrosis, and manage problems associated with cirrhosis, such as Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC), early detection of ALD is crucial. There are several lab tests and questionnaires available to screen for alcohol consumption.
