Velocity-Enhanced Decoherence: A Modified Schrödinger Equation for the Quantum-to Classical Transition

This thesis introduces a novel approach to the quantum-to-classical transition through the modificationof the Schrödinger equation, incorporating particle velocity as a key factor in accelerating quantum decoherence. Decoherence is traditionally attributed to environmental interactions, where quantum systems lose coherence and transition to classical states. This research proposes that higher particle velocities significantly enhance decoherence, thus leading to a faster collapse of the quantum wavefunction into classical behavior. The proposed model extends the Schrödinger equation by adding terms related to velocity, temperature, and pressure, resulting in a more accurate prediction of the quantum-classical transition. Additionally, the thesis explores the cosmological implications of this model, particularly in the early universe. Experimental setups and potential empirical validations are discussed.
