Information Systems Development Plan for Magsige Multi-Purpose Cooperative

The research proposes the design and application of a Loan Monitoring and Alert System forMAGSIGE Multi-Purpose Cooperative, a people's organization in the Davao Region offering microcreditand farm support services. Keeping in mind the necessity of effective tracking of member loans along withtimely reminders, the system intends to automate the manual process of lending within the cooperative andwiden the interaction with the members. It is an easy-to-use panel for administrators, with automatic SMSor email reminders of dues and approval of loans and a database for the follow-up of repayment historyand status of loans. Keeping in mind the necessity of effective tracking of member loans along with timelyreminders, the system intends to automate the manual process of lending within the cooperative and widenthe interaction with the members. It is an administrator's user-friendly panel, with auto-reminders of duesvia SMS or email and loan approval and a database for tracking the follow-up of repayment history andloan status. The technology eliminates paperwork, maximizes accuracy, and stirs transparency between thecooperative and its members. The system complements MAGSIGE's central purpose of enabling ruralcommunities through viable financial services and enabling sustainability and development for localentrepreneurs and farmers. The results indicate that digital systems such as this loan alert system cansubstantially improve operational efficiency and member satisfaction in cooperatives in rural and semiurban areas.
