Labeling of Lines Associated with Cortical Structures: Fundi, Gyral Crowns, and Sulcal Walls in Subsets of the dHCP and KKI Dataset
Dataset Description: Labeling of Lines Associated with Cortical Structures in dHCP and KKI Subsets This dataset provides labeled lines associated with specific cortical structures, including fundi, gyral crowns, and sulcal walls. These lines are instrumental in identifying vertices corresponding to these structures and can be used for applications such as evaluating and comparing sulcal depth estimation methods. The dataset includes lines traced across subjects of varying sizes, ages, and cortical gyration patterns, spanning developmental stages from the perinatal period to adulthood. Specifically: Subset from dHCP: Includes 13 perinatal subjects from the first release of the Developing Human Connectome Project (dHCP) dataset. Subset from KKI: Includes 3 adult subjects from the Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI) dataset. Labeling Schema Each line is labeled according to the associated cortical structure: Gyral Crown Lines: Labeled as 500 Fundi Lines: Labeled as 100 Sulcal Wall Lines: Up to 9 sulcal wall lines are associated with a single fundus line, with labels ranging from {10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90}. Utility This dataset facilitates the analysis of structural cortical features and supports open research into cortical morphology, especially methods for estimating sulcal depth and other geometric properties. We invite researchers to utilize this dataset to explore cortical development and geometry across diverse populations and developmental stages, adhering to the principles of reproducibility and transparency in open science.
