EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES IN EDUCATION AND PROBLEMS OF SOCIALIZATION

Abstract The article discusses the issues of creating equal opportunities for students. Equal opportunities in education are understood as equal access to or benefit from educational resources. The understanding of this concept in the Republic of Azerbaijan, its place in the legislative system and the work done are listed. There is evidence that there is a relationship between equal educational opportunities and educational success. Equal opportunities created for schoolchildren make it possible to involve those with poor financial means and those under family pressure to study. All this creates opportunities for talented students to take a place in society according to their abilities. Then, the factors that hinder equal educational opportunities are mentioned, and among them, geographical factors and gender discrimination are given special attention. Issues of providing equal opportunities in education are also clarified. For this purpose, allocation of more funds to education by the state, elimination of psychological factors and creation of educational services taking into account individual differences, reflection of technological development in the educational process and other nuances are mentioned.
