Current diagnostic approaches include serological, cultural and molecular methods, while treatment relies on prolonged antibiotic combinations, though relapses are common. Given its zoonotic nature, brucellosis demands a One Health approach, integrating veterinary and medical expertise to prevent transmission acrossspecies.InIndia, thegovernment’sefforts, suchastheNationalAnimalDiseaseControl Programme(NADCP),underscoretheimportanceofvaccination, regularscreeningandpublic awareness in managing brucellosis.
