SCALABLE AND SECURE HEALTHCARE DATA MANAGEMENT ON AWS
The deployment of cloud computing in healthcare has transformed data management, allowing secure and efficientstorage, processing, and interoperability of patient information. This article discusses the role of AWS Cloud-basedsolutions towards data management in healthcare through the deployment of services like Amazon S3, AWS HealthLake, and AWS Glue. These services allow HIPAA-compliant storage, centralized record-keeping, and frictionlessdata exchange between healthcare ecosystems. Through the adoption of AWS Cloud, healthcare organizations gainscalability, security, and real-time analytics, which provide healthcare professionals with actionable insights forenhancing patient care. Further, AI-powered analytics on AWS provide predictive modeling, personalized treatmentsuggestions, and operational efficiency. Use of AWS Glue allows automated data extraction, transformation, andloading (ETL) operations, minimizing manual intervention in handling healthcare data. AWS HealthLake alsoenables integration of structured and unstructured data along with complete patient histories to enable accurateclinical decision-making. AWS security frameworks' contribution to ensuring secure protection of sensitive patientinformation, along with enabling healthcare regulatory compliance, is another focus of concern in this paper.Implementation of AWS Cloud in healthcare facilitates better workflow automation, streamlined utilization ofresources, and derives data-driven innovations, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes and decreasedadministrative burden.
