A Small Radio Telescope: Construction, Calibration and Observation of the Hydrogen Line in the Milky Way
Poster providing an overview of the L-band 3 meter radio telescope built by the student goup called RadioSTAR at the University of Southern Denmark. RadioSTAR (STudent Astronomy with Radiotelescopes) is a purely student driven radio telescope and radio interferometry project. We use this project as a platform for students to learn about astronomy, physics, and engineering by building small scale radio telescopes and a radio interferometer. In this project we built a radio telescope for measuring the galactic rotation curve of the Milkyway galaxy.
