Analyse Comparative Des Revenus Des Menages, Avant Et Apres Confinement Dans La Ville De Goma/ R.D. Congo

We approached this study with the perspective that the lockdown decided by the national and provincial authorities led to an unpredictable halt to all socio-economic activities. This research focused specifically on the questions of knowing the impact of the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic on the socio-economic life of households in the city of Goma; and how can we judge the economic and financial situation of different households before and after lockdown in the city of Goma. Indeed, to respond to these different concerns in advance, the following hypotheses were put forward: The lockdown has a negative impact on the socio-economic situation of different households in the city of Goma; and that before the lockdown, households were somewhat stable compared to the implementation of the lockdown; the situation had worsened during and after with an exaggerated increase in prices and the scarcity of goods and services on the markets. Our overall objective is to analyze household income before and after the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the city of Goma; and particularly to know the effect of this confinement on the economic situation of the different households in the city of Goma and then determine the income of households before and after confinement. To develop this article, we used analytical, comparative, statistical methods, supported by documentary techniques, questionnaire, direct observation and interview. Our hypotheses were to show and/or verify that the Covid-19 pandemic was a real scourge in the DRC, given that it destroyed the socio-economic fabric of all sectors of life through the practice of confinement. In fact, the latter had a negative impact on the socio-economic situation of different households in the city of Goma. Moreover, we can assume that before the confinement, households were somewhat stable, the situation had worsened during and after with an exaggerated increase in the price on the market for goods and services. Finally, it was also a question of looking for the consequences caused by the confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic based on the following indicators: poverty, degradation of morals (prostitution, theft, etc.).

Abstract

Finally, it was also a question of looking for the consequences caused by the confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic based on the following indicators: poverty, degradation of morals (prostitution, theft, etc.).
