POST-MODIFICATIONAL STRUCTURES IN UZBEK
This article explores the role of post-modificational structures in the Uzbek language, focusing on how these constructions enhance sentence clarity, expressiveness, and grammatical flexibility. Uzbek, an agglutinative language, allows for complex word formation and flexible word order, with post-modifiers—such as adjectives, relative clauses, participial phrases, and prepositional phrases—playing a central role in adding detail and nuance to sentences. The article highlights the importance of understanding post-modification for language learners and linguists, as these structures contribute to the language's rich descriptive capacity and fluid sentence construction. It also contrasts Uzbek’s use of post-modifiers with similar structures in other languages, emphasizing their significance in both everyday communication and academic discourse. Overall, the study of post-modification in Uzbek provides valuable insights into the language's syntactic and expressive features, enriching both learning and research.
