RAPORTURILE DINTRE INSTITUȚIA LOGOFEȚIEI ȘI DOMNIE DIN ȚARA MOLDOVEI ÎN CONTEXTUL POLITIC INTERN ȘI EXTERN AL SECOLULUI AL XVI-LEA
The 16th century in the history of Moldova is marked as a period in which the internal political context is largely influenced by the external factor. The significant events taking place, with a direct impact on the social-political situation, derived from the fact that the country was in a new political configuration in the region. The rising Ottoman Empire as a political force after the victories achieved by Suleiman the Magnificent at Mohacs (year 1521) diminishes the role and political influence of the Kingdom of Hungary vis-à-vis the Romanian Countries. Thus the Gate imposes a policy of including Moldova in the Ottoman sphere of influence in order to diminish the geopolitical interests of the Kingdom of Poland, which in turn, in promoting its geopolitical interests, treated Moldova as a means of curbing the aggressive political establishment of the Ottomans in the region. So, the Country of Moldavia was at the interference of the two great powers, a fact that caused the sharpening of the internal rivalries between the kingdom and the great boyarism, which through the princely council tries to limit the princely power. The great Lofotenians, as holders of one of the most influential and important offices in the country’s council, along the way have „oscillated” politically in support of or opposition to the investment procedure or the policy promoted by the rulers of Moldova. This political behavior is evidenced by the adherence, along the way, to the boyar political camps that supported or „opposed” the lords depending on the political circumstances at the time. It didn’t mean at all that the big talkers were only „conformists” in the internal political struggles that took place, in many cases, they were initiators of internal and external policy changes. Key words: Princely Council, Great Logophetes, Moldavian Country, Dominion, Internal Policy, Directorate.
