DESIGNING AUTHENTIC ESTIMATION FOR COMPENSATORY COMPETENCE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL
Traditional standardized tests often fail to capture the multifaceted nature of student learning, particularly the crucial skill of compensatory competence – the ability to adapt and utilize existing skills to overcome challenges. This article advocates for a shift towards technology-enhanced authentic assessments that emphasize real-world application, individual learning styles, and strategic thinking. We propose a framework for designing such estimation, focusing on key principles, practical strategies, and the effective integration of technology to provide a more comprehensive and meaningful analysis of middle school students' learning processes and problem-solving abilities.
