World Population 10,000 BC – 2100

This work is a “byproduct” of the nowagreen.com Global Warming Database. The world population dataset is needed for various works related to global warming trendlines. The population increased from 4.5 million in -10,000 BC to 257 million in 200, increasing also the population growth from +0.023%/y in -10,000 BC to +0.081%/y in 200. In the period 200-400 the population dropped to 206 million [20%), after that increased to 456 million in 1300, having +0.088%/y average growth. In the period 1300-1400 the population dropped to 363 million (21%), after that increased to 2.5 milliard till 1950 with +0.351%/y average growth. The maximum population growth was 2.245%/y in 1964, since than it constantly decreased to 0.877%/y in 2023. This work includes two population forecasts, one according to the UN resulting in10 milliards in 2100, and the other based on previous publications related to the forecast of CO2 emission per capita, resulting in 15 milliards in 2100. The world population dataset according to this work is available online on: https://nowagreen.ct.ws/population
