Interdisciplinary analysis of scientific approaches to problem of success

The article deals with domestic and foreign scholars’ views on the problem of personal success in terms of the interdisciplinary analysis of the existing approaches. The etymology of the concept of "success" is provided. The diversity of its synonymic sets in the interdisciplinary research is considered. In the course of the problem study, methods of theoretical analysis of domestic and foreign scientific sources have been used, with analysis, synthesis, and generalization being among them. The theoretical analysis of the problem shows that the concept of "success" is an object of study in many sciences. According to the analysis results, there are many questions for scientific discussions in understanding its theoretical and applied aspects, which opens up prospects for both psychology and socio-humanitarian sciences such as linguistics, philosophy, sociology, pedagogy. The conclusions are made that the understanding of success depends on the field of knowledge and the field of activity, in which it is considered or achieved. Therefore, the meaning put into it is extremely dynamic and its interpretation is contradictory and ambiguous. However, today the problem of understanding and interpreting the phenomenon of success remains an urgent topic in the holistic study of the concept.
