Research and Data Infrastructure Horizon Scan

This Horizon Scan is designed to provide a snapshot of various data providers, infrastructures, and platforms which could be used for research into multiple long-term conditions (MLTC), and by association deploy complex analyses, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in achieving groundbreaking scientific outputs. The contents of the document are derived from publicly available websites and information, and is deliberately designed to provide high-level information which will not replicate the level of detail found in the various links included below. The document aims to act as a brochure detailing information on 18 data providers and infrastructures which host and make available nationally and regionally representative person-based health and administrative data, whereby important details on various data of interest can be found in a single place for ease of initial viewing of potential data options for research. There are other data providers in the UK which may be incorporated into future versions of this document; the starting position for this document are data providers who have already been of interest to researchers in the MLTC research space or can/could be complementary to other data sources in order to enhance current work or future applications. This document is intended to be edited on a regular basis.
