Zoroastrian Cosmology and Cognitive Neuroscience
This technical note introduces a conceptual framework—the Symbolic-Cognitive Mirror Model (SCMM)—that explores potential structural parallels between elements of Zoroastrian cosmology and contemporary cognitive theory. The model outlines metaphorical correspondences between symbolic motifs (e.g., dualistic forces, purity symbols, narrative arcs) and cognitive functions such as integration, attention, and self-regulation. While this proposal is exploratory and not intended as historical analysis or empirical claim, it suggests that symbolic cosmologies may reflect recurring features of cognitive experience, inviting further interdisciplinary discussion and cautious comparative inquiry.
