Data Governance Plan for the Malawi Energy Access Project
The Malawi Energy Access Project Data Governance Plan outlines a comprehensive framework to support the efficient collection, management, sharing, and utilization of energy-related data. This framework is essential for driving evidence-based policy decisions and ensuring that Malawi's energy access goals are met effectively. The plan provides guidelines for data governance structures, data quality management, data security, and stakeholder collaboration. An assessment of the current status of energy data governance approaches found that fragmented data systems; capacity gaps; inadequate coordination; data quality challenges and limited utilization are the key issues that needs to be addressed for the successful implementation of the energy data governance plan.
