IMPORTANȚA APEI POTABILE ÎNTR-O SOCIETATE ÎN DEZVOLTARE
Summary. In developing countries, the availability of drinking water directly influences public health, economic growth and social stability, representing a central pillar of progress and well-being. Clean drinking water prevents the spread of communicable diseases such as cholera and diarrhea, which are common in regions where access to safe water sources is limited. By reducing the incidence of these diseases, communities can save significant resources that would otherwise have been allocated to medical treatment and redirect these savings to other development projects. In addition to health benefits, drinking water supports economic activities such as agriculture, industry and tourism. These problems require innovative and sustainable solutions, such as advanced purification technologies, conservation policies and effective management of water resources. Key words: drinking water, public health, economic development, developing societies, infrastructure, sustainable solutions.
