A Survey on Women and Work Environment Challenges in Chandrapur City

Abstract: The role of women in the workforce has evolved significantly over the centuries, transforming from traditional domestic responsibilities to diverse participation across various industries. Despite this progress, women continue to face numerous challenges in the workplace, ranging from systemic inequalities to pervasive discrimination. These challenges not only affect women’s career advancement and job satisfaction but also have broader implications for economic growth and social equality. This research paper aims to explore the multifaceted challenges that women face in today’s work environments. By examining historical trends, current issues, and potential solutions, this paper seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the barriers women encounter and the efforts needed to overcome them. In doing so, this paper will contribute to the ongoing conversation about gender equality and the critical steps needed to create a more inclusive and supportive work environment for all women. The universe of the study covers whole Chandrapur city as its population. The sampling is selected by using convenient sampling and the sample size is confined as 60.
