Environmental Politics and Sustainable Development from a Human Rights Perspective
Abstract: This paper explores the intricate relationship between environmental politics, sustainable development, and human rights. It argues that addressing environmental issues through the lens of human rights not only enhances the effectiveness of environmental policies but also ensures that these policies uphold the dignity and well-being of all individuals. By examining key issues such as the right to a healthy environment, the impact of environmental degradation on marginalized communities, and the integration of human rights into sustainable development strategies, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how human rights considerations can contribute to more equitable and effective environmental policies
