Proposta de um framework para monitoramento das atividades de eletricistas de linha viva: um estudo de caso na CEMIG

Workplace accidents are a significant issue not only in Brazil but also worldwide. The International Labour Organization (ILO) estimates that 2 million people die each year from work-related causes globally. In Brazil, in 2023, there were 2,089 accidents involving electricity, resulting in 781 deaths. The objective of this research is to propose a framework, based on the Design Science Research (DSR) method, for monitoring activities performed on live lines by electricians working in CEMIG's electrical distribution networks, using computer vision and artificial intelligence. As a methodology, this research is applied nature, with a qualitative approach, exploratory character, technical procedures, and bibliographic and documentary research, in addition to a case study. It is expected that, after implementing the steps outlined in the framework, activities performed on live lines will be carried out more safely, reducing the risk of non-compliance and accidents. As a proposal for future work, the proposed framework can be applied to other activities beyond live line work.
