MEȘTEȘUGURILE DE PRELUCRARE A PIEILOR ȘI BLĂNURILOR ÎN CHIȘINĂUL INTERBELIC

Summary. Leather and fur processing crafts constitute an essential field of household activity,evidence of the practice of these occupations in the Romanian space are numerous work tools, whichallowed the processing of hides. The presence of leather fragments and tools confirms the existencein different historical periods of craftsmen who processed leather and furs, mastered leather tanningtechniques and other work processes, made different pieces from these raw materials. In this article,we set out to remove the activity of artisans in interwar Chisinau from the shadows. Based on severalsources, we have identified artisans in Chisinau who worked leather and fur articles, thus contributing to the development and promotion of the city.Key words: crafts, skin, fur, artistic processing of skins and furs, the interwar period, Chișinău
