Geospatial Clean Cooking Modelling in Guatemala

In alignment with Guatemala's Energy Policy Plan 2013-2027, the country aims to increase the use of fuel-efficient stoves by replacing traditional wood with more efficient and cleaner technologies. As part of this commitment, this project focuses on analyzing two scenarios using the tool of OnStove. The social scenario, which pertains to government policies and actions, and the private scenario, which focuses on households. The goal is to assess the level of access to clean cooking solutions, considering both the barriers and enablers that influence their adoption. In Guatemala more than half of the population currently use charcoal and biomass but they never have the highest net benefit. This means that is necessary to create new policies who can help to improve the clean cooking situation.
