PV Suitability Analysis Tool
This tool is an interactive, data-driven application that assesses the suitability of buildings in the Canton of Geneva for photovoltaic (PV) energy installations. By integrating spatial and attribute data, including LiDAR-derived building information, the tool enables users to visualize and analyze buildings’ PV potential. Designed for public authorities and researchers, it supports sustainable urban planning by offering key metrics such as available roof area, potential capacity, required investment, and CO₂ emissions savings for each building. The tool and its source code are accessible in an open repository, allowing for customization and broader scientific contributions.
