'Drama is the closest medium to the audience in expressing social issues on stage.' The hill people were brought from Tamil Nadu, India, 200 years ago for plantation work. They not only brought with them various pains and sufferings but also brought with them art forms that were traditionally associated with their lives. Although Sri Lanka is considered to be a four-ethnic people, the hill people were considered as the Indian subcontinent of Sri Lanka for a long time. Later, after many struggles, the hill people established themselves as a national race of Sri Lanka; later, the hill people were also considered a national race. On this basis, various playwrights can be mentioned in the development of art in the hill country, especially in the development of drama art. Records about those playwrights are also very few. This is because the documentation of drama and playwrights in Sri Lanka was very limited to the extent that it was in other Tamil regions in Sri Lanka. Documenting hill plays and theatrical personalities can also be considered a very necessary thing in the field of hill play. Highland drama personalities should be categorized into some categories. First, those who were born in India and performed in Highland drama, for example, Go. Natesa Iyer. Second, those who were born in Highland and performed in Highland drama. Third, those who came from outside Highland and performed in Highland drama. In this, Antony Jeeva can be classified into the third category.
