FAIR for Software Containers: A Practical Guide
Containers are well known for their ability to make research software reproducible. They have been widely used in research, with the usage spanning high-performance computing (HPC) such as Pawsey, initiatives like Australian BioCommons, platform projects and individual research [1], [2], [3], [4]. Despite the widespread usage and reproducibility advantage, no guide outlines a process for making containers findable, accessible, interoperable and reproducible (FAIR). FAIR for containers has long been on the Australian Research Container Orchestration Service (ARCOS) community’s agenda [5].
