STRATEGIES FOR PROMOTING COVID-19 VACCINATION AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: A PATH FORWARD
Three years after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic, its impact remains profound and widespread (Cucinotta & Vanelli, 2020; Sohrabi et al., 2020). Originating in China, the virus rapidly disseminated globally, prompting a host of public health measures aimed at curbing its effects (Byttebier, 2022; Rabi et al., 2020; Rothan & Byrareddy, 2020). These measures included enhanced hand hygiene, social distancing, movement restrictions, and intensified screening processes. Despite these efforts, the pandemic has continued to inflict significant morbidity and mortality worldwide (Halperin et al., 2021; Huang et al., 2021; Mudenda et al., 2022; Piret & Boivin, 2021). This abstract provides an overview of the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19 and the various strategies implemented to mitigate its impact, highlighting the persistent need for effective public health interventions and continued vigilance in the fight against the virus
